Know Your Target Market

One of the most popular questions that new virtual assistants ask is, “How do I get new clients?”  Here is the question that I like to ask, “What industry is your ideal client working in?”  Both questions are huge because you have a right to hand pick your clients.

When it comes to choosing a target market think about what industries you are passionate about.  Would it excite you to work with individuals in the health and wellness industry?  Is the financial industry exciting to you?  Perhaps working with realtors floats your boat.  In which industry do you have the most experience and knowledge?  In which industry do you have a circle of contacts? 

All of these questions are important for you to ask yourself.  Why?  It is because you have the right to hand pick your clients.  Your clients should be related to an industry that you are passionate about.
